JAMMU, Apr 8: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar today reviewed the supply and stock position of essential commodities across the districts of Jammu Province.
The Divisional Commissioner sought the details of district wise availability of stock of LPG, Petrol, Diesel, Food grains, provision of food, meals in Hospitals, Hostels of Educational Institutions including Government Medical Colleges and other premier institutions from the respective officers and District Administrations.
He also took appraisal of the availability and supply of commercial LPGs to Hotels, Industries, stock availability of fertilizers and urea while seeking the action taken against any hoarding and black marketing.
Concerned Officers and District Administrations were directed to take stringent measures to prevent hoarding of essential commodities and ensuring fair distributions to the consumers.
The Divisional Commissioner was also apprised on the grievances received regarding the essential commodities and the disposal of the same in each district. He emphasized on the distributors for completing the e-KYCs of the pending customers for smooth and speedy supply of domestic LPG to consumers.
Directions were also issued for keeping a check on the price trends of essential commodities selling in the market to prevent overpricing.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioners and SSPs of all Districts of Jammu division, Controller Legal Metrology-J&K, Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Director Health Services, Joint Director Information Jammu, HODs, Senior officers and representatives from School Education, Industries & Commerce, SMVDU, Tribal Affairs, Cluster University, Jammu University, SKUAST Jammu, Agriculture, IOCL, HPCL, LPG BPCL and premier educational and medical institutions.
