JAMMU, Mar 2: Thathri Development Front president, Kuldeep Kumar Rao has demanded creation of two new districts Bhaderwah and Thathri before DDC, Panchayat and Municipal elections.
In a handout, Rao stated that in Kashmir there are districts with hardly two or three Tehsils while in Jammu Division there are districts like Doda having 17 Tehsils.
He claimed that the people of Jammu province in general and those of District Doda in particular never got their genuine due share in the socio-economic and political processes.
Rao held Jammu based leadership responsible for the step-motherly treatment being meted out to the people of Jammu province in general and to those of Doda in particular.
“Had Jammu leadership, like their counterparts in Kashmir, have discharged its obligations towards the region, the story of Jammu province in general and that of the erstwhile Doda District in particular today would have been totally different,” he maintained.
