SHOPIAN, Mar 1: The District Shopian Ball Badminton Association, in collaboration with the J&K Ball Badminton Association, is set to organize the District Shopian Ball Badminton Championship 2024-25 for Boys and Girls. The two-day tournament, sponsored by the J&K Sports Council, will take place at the Sports Stadium Shopian on March 4 and 5.
The championship aims to provide a platform for young athletes to showcase their skills and promote the sport of Ball Badminton in the region. The tournament will follow the official rules set by the Ball Badminton Federation of India (BBFI), ensuring fair play and a competitive environment.
The event is open to all affiliated clubs, schools, colleges, and institutes in Shopian. Players wishing to participate must submit their entries before March 4, via WhatsApp/SMS at 7006064192. Participants must bring a photocopy of their Aadhaar card and two passport-size photographs. No on-spot entries will be accepted.
The draw for the matches will take place on March 4 at 11:00 AM at the competition venue. A key highlight of the tournament is the selection of top-performing players who will represent Shopian in the upcoming UT-level Ball Badminton Championship.
