Sir,
The Parliamentarians/Lawmakers should be held responsible for Parliament disruptions. We should not allow an institutions like the Parliament to be misused as a tool for political vendetta. Over the past years crores have been wasted already. Each minute of running Parliament during session on an average cost Rs 2.5 lakh. Every minute not spent on the business of legislation or governance is a waste of public money. According to figures between 1991 to 2014, Parliament lost 2162 hours and 51 minutes due to disruptions by Members of Parliament. The 15th session of Lok Sabha saw 40 percent of the session being wasted.
It is time that Parliamentarians be made accountable for the time they are wasting of the people. We need to imbue them with a deeper understanding of their responsibilities to further the welfare of the people of our country.
Yours etc…
