JAMMU, June 22: All Kashmiri Dispossessed Welfare Association in its meeting here today held under the chairmanship of its president, P L Kachroo discussed various burning issues of the displaced Pandits.
As per a release, the meeting said it is strange that the ration slips for political migrants in Kashmir Valley were issued for full year while in case of other migrants putting up at Jammu they have not been issued till date when the same were issued in the first week of April in past.
The meeting criticized the attitude of the authorities towards the migrants putting up at Jammu. It said till date the ration slips of June were not issued. The meeting warned to launch agitation in case the ration slips were not issued within three days.
The meeting alleged that the bifurcation of ration cards is also pending and the authorities are not taking any interest in this regard. Moreover there is no headway in issuance of RBA certificates and demanded that procedure for issuance of PRCs be simplified.
