JAMMU, Nov 8: The three-day cultural extravaganza Display Your Talent 2025 (Tawi Zone) concluded today amidst great enthusiasm at Government College for Women, Parade Ground Jammu.
The final day featured a vibrant array of contests including Classical Dance, Creative Choreography, Group Folk Dance, Debate, Cartooning, and Poster Making.
In Classical Dance (Solo), Ajay Agarwal from IMFA emerged as the winner, while Akshita Lamba from IMFA and Neelakshi Anand from GCW Parade Ground, Jammu, stood second and third respectively.
In Creative Choreography, GCW Parade Ground, Jammu secured the first position, followed by KC Law College.
In Group Folk Dance, GCW Parade Ground, Jammu claimed the first position, while the Department of Law and the Centre for Distance and Online Education bagged the second and third positions respectively.
In Debate competition, the Centre for Distance and Online Learning, University of Jammu won the first position, followed by GCW Parade Ground, Jammu (second) and The Law School, University of Jammu (third).
In Cartooning contest, Sahreen from GDC Paloura, Jammu won the first position, followed by Tanish Kumari from GDC R S Pura (second) and Sachan Dev from IMFA (third).
In Poster Making, Rupinder Singh from GDC R S Pura bagged the first position, while Vanshika Rajput from the Centre for Distance and Online Education and Abuzar Ali from IMFA stood second and third respectively.
The valedictory function of Display Your Talent 2025 (Tawi Zone) marked the grand finale of the three-day festival. Principal of GCW Parade Ground, Jammu. Dr Ravender Tickoo presented a warm welcome address while Dr Seema Malpotra presented a detailed report of the three-day event.
The function was graced by Prof Neelu Rohmetra, Dean, Research Studies, University of Jammu, as the chief guest. In her inspiring address, she applauded the infrastructural growth of the college and fondly reminisced about her association as an alumna. She emphasized the need for holistic education that harmonizes academic learning with cultural engagement and appreciated the vital role of teachers in shaping well-rounded personalities.
Padma Shri Rajendra Tiku, the guest of honour, highlighted the importance of cultural events in fostering discipline, imagination, and a deep sense of identity among youth. Prof Prakash Anthal, Dean, Student Welfare, JU, also graced the occasion.
A spectacular cultural presentation by the students added vibrancy and colour to the evening, echoing the spirit of Display Your Talent 2025. Dr Gurpreet Kaur presented the vote of thanks.
