JAMMU, Jan 22: More delegations of Kashmiri Pandits today called on Minister of State (Independent Charge) Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Aijaz Ahmed Khan and apprised him of the problems of the displaced people in general and unemployed youth in particular.
As per a release, a delegation of All J&K Displaced Youth Forum of Kashmiri Migrants called on Mr Khan and sought his personnel intervention in settling the pending problems of the community. It demanded that remaining posts under PM’s package be filled up on war footing basis, providing of proper accommodation to migrant employees in Valley and creation of infrastructure for such employees who will be appointed in near future.
The delegation also informed the Minister that some decisions were taken in Apex Committee meeting which are against the welfare of the community and added to woes of the old aged persons.
They demanded that controversial decision regarding withholding of the relief to the families whose one person was appointed as a Government employees under PM’s package, vacating the transit accommodation in Kashmir and construction of shops at Jagti under self financing scheme were against the welfare of community.
The delegation led by Sanjay Koul chairman of the Forum said that Apex Committee members have feigned ignorance about such decision and said that they were incorporated without their knowledge. Hence Government should at once rescind the same.
Besides Migrant Employees Forum Kashmir under PM’s package also called on Khan and discussed their problems with him.
They discussed the issues pertaining to accommodation, water supply, drainage and electricity. They also stressed construction of more quarters at district level for migrants and fulfillment of remaining 3000 posts under PM’s package.
Led by Sanjay Ganjoo the other members of the delegation included Sanjay Koul, Sunil Pandita, Vinod Pandita, Shakti Kandroo, Rakesh Raina, S K Bhat, Vinod and Dileep Kumar.
