Granting Rs. 2000 crore for the DPs of 1947, 65 and 71, is really an historical event, especially when the victims are in fourth generation since their displacement. Expectedly, no less efforts are being done by the Govt to ensure payment of the package expeditiously and without any sort of embarrassment to the beneficiaries concerned. But as on date, when several months have passed since the process of disbursement is on still hundreds of families are licking dust of different offices for procurement of required documents.
Making available Form ‘A’/loan ledger with nominal roll, land record, PRC, Aadhar card, power of attorney and death certificate, where needed etc is highly time consuming and perhaps, this is the reason, many families couldn’t submit their files. Hair splitting and digging out shortcomings in documents, also delays the process. Who is unaware that even for a simplest document one has to grease the stretched hand. Since many beneficiaries are helpless to manage all these documents an inquiry cell.needs to be setup at the PRO’s office to listen the grievances of all those who are unable to complete such formalities.
Since the claims are of the period when since the claims are of the period when humanity was almost lost, when the civilisation was endangered, it is highly becoming necessary for the worthy authorities, neck deeply engaged in the task, to soften the documentary needs to facilitate and help all those who are failing to complete the file for their claims.
