JAMMU, Dec 12: A comprehensive training program organized by the Directorate of Audit & Inspections was held here today at the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Accounts & Treasuries (DAT), Muthi.
The program aimed at strengthening the technical and professional capacities of departmental officers and staff.
The session commenced with a welcome address by Prem Lata Patial, Joint Director, Audit & Inspections, Jammu, who highlighted the importance of continuous capacity building and the Directorate’s commitment to promoting transparency, accountability and efficiency in public financial management.
The program was graced by Parvez Sajjad Sofi, Director General, Audit & Inspections, J&K.
Who attended the function as the guest of honour and shared insightful perspectives on strengthening audit practices and institutional efficiency.
Rajesh Kotwal, Director, Accounts & Treasuries, Jammu, also addressed the participants and offered his valuable experience in public financial administration.
Following the inaugural remarks, the technical sessions were conducted by the designated resource persons:
Dheeraj Jandial, DTO Udhampur, delivered an informative session on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM).
Bikram Dutt, CAO GPF Udhampur, presented on e-Tendering, emphasizing transparency and best practices in digital procurement.
Rohit Tickoo conducted a detailed session on the Public Financial Management System (PFMS), highlighting its role in real-time financial monitoring and control.
The event concluded with a collective resolve to further strengthen professional capabilities and uphold excellence in public financial administration across the Union Territory.
