SAMBA, Jan 31: To review facilities, service delivery and overall functioning of various institutions functioning under the Department, Ranjeet Singh, Director, Social Welfare Department (SWD) paid a visit here today.
During the visit, the Director inspected Parisha CCI Home for Women, Palash CCI for Boys and Muskan Foundation Senior Citizens Home.
Singh interacted with the inmates, staff members and management of the institutions and took stock of living conditions, nutrition, healthcare, education, recreation facilities and safety arrangements.
He emphasized the importance of providing a safe, caring and dignified environment for women, children and senior citizens residing in these institutions.
Directions were issued to the concerned authorities to ensure strict adherence to prescribed guidelines, timely redressal of issues and continuous improvement in the quality of services being provided.
The management of the institutions apprised the Director about ongoing activities, challenges faced and requirements for further strengthening of facilities. The Director assured all possible support from the department for the welfare and wellbeing of the beneficiaries.
