JAMMU, Apr 26: In a major step towards ensuring timely career progression of employees, Dr Arun Manhas, Director, Industries and Commerce (I&C) Jammu, today chaired a meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) at Udyog Bhawan, Jammu. The meeting was held under the directions of Vikramjeet Singh, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Industries and Commerce Department.
The meeting witnessed the presence of key officials, including Joint Director (Development) Ashok Kumar, Deputy Secretary Dharam Pal, and Administrative Officer Rachna Devi, who were part of the DPC as official members. The committee conducted a comprehensive review of the service records, performance reports, and eligibility criteria of the employees under consideration for promotion.
After detailed deliberations and thorough scrutiny, the Committee approved the promotion of 20 employees belonging to various cadres and functional levels. These promotions involve elevation to the next higher posts along with the release of corresponding grades in favour of the promoted employees.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Arun Manhas urged all the promoted employees to work with renewed energy, dedication, and responsibility. He emphasized that promotions bring new challenges and greater accountability, and expressed hope that the employees would continue to contribute effectively towards achieving the department’s objectives.
The successful conduct of the DPC has boosted the morale of the workforce and reinforced their commitment towards serving the department with increased zeal.
