SRINAGAR, July 27: State Government today directed all the departments to furnish the requisite information regarding the casual labourers to the Finance Department within next 10 days.
According to the circular issued by the General Administration Department, the issue of regularization of casual labourers/ PDL/ Seasonal labourers has repeatedly been agitated by the employees’ associations and in the negotiations between JCC and Cabinet Sub-Committee, the mutually agreed position on the issue was approved by the Cabinet vide its decision dated March 23, 2009.
The Finance Department had advised all the departments to furnish the details of casual workers in the prescribed format wide its order dated July 12, 2012 followed by a chain of reminders. However, till date the requisite information has not been received from any department.
“As per the fresh agreement reached with the employees’ associations on July 8, 2012, the matter has to be decided expeditiously as such all the Administrative Secretaries are impressed upon to furnish the requisite information strictly as per the format to the Finance Department within 10 days positively”, the circular said.
