JAMMU, Aug 25: A meeting of All Jammu & Kashmir Diploma Engineers Association was held at Lok Nirman Bhawan (R&B) Jammu, here today under the leadership of its President Anil Khajuria.
A number of Diploma Engineers participated in the meeting and expressed their concern over the delay in release of promotion list at various levels of AE, AEE and Xen.
President of the association said that out of 146 posts of Assistant Engineers under 20 percent quota earmarked for Diploma Engineers, there are only seven Assistant Engineers in position and remaining 139 posts are lying vacant. He expressed his concern that despite eligibility of large number of Diploma Engineers for the post of AE, the administration is dilly dallying.
Alleging that the callous attitude of the administration has resulted into stagnation of Diploma Engineers and vacancies at the level of AEE & Xen out of the quota earmarked for Diploma Engineers. He demanded the release of promotion list of AE without any further delay.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting included the Association Chairman Narinder Singh, General Secretary Radhey Shyam, Vice President Jagdev Singh and Vinay Sharma, Publicity Secretary Arunesh Sharma.
