JAMMU, Aug 7: All J&K Diploma Engineers Association, Jammu held a meeting under the chairmanship of its President Upinder Singh.
During the meeting, the participants flayed the transfer list of Junior Engineers (JEs) issued by the Administrative Department, in which transfer policy has been completely over looked.
They condemned the administration for making transfers of particular JEs of particular department at the behest of some officers of the department.
The participants said that at first instance the transfers made appears to the witch-hunt as the association has been protesting for implementation of Civil Accounting System as per Administrative Order and a Circular issued by Chief Engineer PHE.
It is to mention here that the Association has been pleading with the Chief Engineer PHE since the beginning of the current financial year for putting the works to tender thereby relieving the JEs of the departmental works to streamline the functioning of the department.
The Association appealed to the Minister for PHE and I&FC Department to issue necessary instructions for withdrawal of transfer order of 15 JEs to provide justice and requested him for implementation of transfer policy in vogue.
