JAMMU, May 30: United Diploma Engineers Welfare Forum, Jammu expressed their serious concern over the attitude of the Government for not addressing their pending demands.
In a meeting of the Association members held here in REW complex today, Upinder Singh said that diploma engineers will be forced to start fresh struggle if their demands are not addressed. He said the diploma engineers are facing stagnation. They are retiring even on the same post while the Government has turned a deaf ear towards their plight. Mr Singh also blamed the lack of proper representation from the present leadership for the past several years for non-execution of their demands.
Harvinder Singh from REW stressed for broader unity among various engineering wings and urged the Government to evolve a mechanism for ensuring at least two promotions to every diploma engineer before retirement.
