JAMMU, Jan 23: Protesting against hike in water tariff, the activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement today held a demonstration.
Shouting slogans against the Government, the protesters also blocked the New Plot road for some time and disrupted vehicular movement.
Addressing the protesters, president of JWAM, Sunil Dimple appealed the Minister for PHE Irrigation and Flood Control Sham Lal Sharma to withdraw the increased water tariff for relief to commoners.
He also criticized the PDD for frequent power cuts in Jammu and asked the Chief Minister to issue necessary directions for regular power supply.
Those who attended the protest demonstration included Sham Saroop, Mulkh Raj Abrol, Sushant, Ramesh Chander Kohli, Rakesh Vipin, Mukesh and others.
