DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range chairs crime review meeting

REASI, Sept 10: Sarah Rizvi, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Udhampur-Reasi Range chaired a crime review meeting at District Police Office Reasi.
The meeting was attended by Paramvir Singh, SSP Reasi; Vipan Chandran, Addl SP Katra; Iftkhar Ahmed, Addl. SP Reasi; SDPOs, Senior Prosecuting Officer and SHOs of District Reasi.
During the meeting, the DIG reviewed the progress on under investigation and under trial NDPS/UA(P)A cases, inquest proceedings, implementation of new criminal laws, crime against women, trial in absentia, E-Sakshya, E-Summon/warrants, Zero FIR, e-FIR, FSL visits, community service and missing persons cases.
SDPOs of various sub-divisions presented detailed reports regarding case disposal, highlighting comparative progress achieved in their jurisdictions, particularly in NDPS and UA(P)A cases. SSP Reasi also gave a comprehensive overview of the district’s performance in handling such cases.
The DIG directed the officers to ensure effective execution of court processes and expedite investigation of under investigation cases. She emphasized the need for continued commitment to curbing drug abuse, narcotics trafficking and other criminal activities.
The DIG urged officers to work with zeal and dedication to strengthen policing efforts at the grassroots level. SSP Reasi assured the DIG that all directions and instructions will be implemented effectively on the ground.
