JAMMU, June 17: In view of the upcoming Shri Amarnath Yatra 2025, DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua (JSK) Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma, today reviewed security arrangements at key locations in Jammu city including Ram Mandir Purani Mandi, Geeta Bhawan Parade, and the Yatra Base Camp at Bhagwati Nagar.
During the visit, the DIG inspected security guards deployed at these sites, checked CCTV camera installations, enroute checking points, and the designated parking areas.
He issued clear directions to the concerned officers to ensure foolproof security arrangements for the smooth conduct of the yatra.
Personnel deployed at the venues were briefed on the sensitive nature of their duties.
The DIG also interacted with CISF personnel stationed at Ram Mandir, urging them to maintain heightened alertness at all times.
Officers were instructed to strengthen naka points, especially during night hours, and to identify additional locations where checkpoints can be established to enhance the security of pilgrims.
SHO Pacca Danga Inspector Rakesh Jamwal, SHO Nowabad Inspector Deepak Pathania, Incharge Police Post Canal PSI Vikram Manhas, and Incharge Police Post Pouni Chak PSI Amreek Singh were also present at their respective locations during the inspection.
