JAMMU, Oct 3: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Jammu-Samba-Kathua (JSK) Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma, today visited the family of martyr Head Constable Bashir Ahmed, who lost his life in an encounter at Kog Mandli area of Billawar recently.
Accompanied by SSP Kathua Shobhit Saxena, SP Operations Billawar Aumer, SDPO East Sheezan Bhat, and SHO Channi Himmat Mohammad Sadiq, the DIG offered condolences to the bereaved family and assured full support to them, stating that Ahmed’s sacrifice will always be remembered and serve as an inspiration for future generations.
Later, the DIG also visited ASI Niaz, who was injured in the same encounter, at the Military Hospital Satwari.
He inquired about his health and assured him of any necessary assistance, commending his bravery and reaffirming the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s unwavering support during difficult times.
