JAMMU, July 20: A grand free medical camp was organized by Shri Kailakh Jyotish avim Vedic Sansthan Trust at SD Memorial High School, Karwanda Bhalwal in Jammu North Assembly constituency under the celebration of “Sanskrit Month.”
The camp witnessed an overwhelming response with 466 patients availing health checkups, consultations, and free medicines.
The camp was inaugurated by DIG Jammu-Kathua-Samba Range Shiv Kumar Sharma, and BJP Yuva Morcha J&K Vice President Devyani Rana.
Trust President Mahant Rohit Shastri, along with a large number of local citizens, social workers, and trust members, also participated.
DIG Shiv Kumar Sharma, IPS, lauded the initiative saying, “It is our collective responsibility to ensure health services reach every section of society. In today’s time, health awareness is extremely crucial, as even small negligence can lead to serious illnesses. Free health camps like this play a big role in society, and the Trust is doing a commendable work.”
Devyani Rana appreciated the efforts of the Trust and said, “Shri Kailakh Jyotish avim Vedic Sansthan Trust is not only promoting Devvani Sanskrit but is also contributing to medical services, environmental protection, and tackling social evils like drug addiction. Young Sanskrit promoters like Mahant Rohit Shastri are an inspiration for society.”
A team of doctors including Dr Vishav Gupta, Dr Sanjay Sharma, Dr Yograj, Dr Vinod Khajuria and Dr Vidyupt Gupta provided their services during the camp.
Ayurvedic saplings were also distributed to promote environmental protection and awareness about medicinal plants.
Mahant Rohit Shastri said, “Sanskrit and nature are the pillars of our culture. This camp is an effort to unite service, Sanskrit and nature.”
Prominent attendees included R K Chhibber, Kuldeep Kumar, Rajdev Singh, Naresh Raina, Pratap Singh and others.
