DIG JKS Range visits border areas to boost coordination among security forces

SAMAB/KATHUA, May 21: In a significant outreach effort, DIG Jammu-Kathua-Samba (JKS) Range, Shiv Kumar, along with senior police officers, conducted a comprehensive tour of border areas in Samba and Kathua districts today to boost coordination among security forces and strengthen police-public ties.
Accompanied by SSP Samba Varinder Singh Manhas, SSP Kathua Shobit Saxena, SP Operations Mukund and other senior officers, the DIG visited several villages near the International Border. The team interacted with local residents and held meetings with Jawans and officers at various border police and BSF posts.
The visit focused on enhancing synergy between the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Border Security Force (BSF), and the local populace to maintain peace and ensure robust border security. During the public interactions, Shiv Kumar appealed to residents to support the police by sharing timely information and maintaining communal harmony, peace, and brotherhood in the region.
He reassured the public that the J&K Police is fully committed to their safety and welfare. “JK Police is always at your service – we care for you,” he said, urging the community to play an active role in national security.
Conveying a message of unity and patriotism, the DIG called upon citizens to “join hands with the armed forces to strengthen our security apparatus and make the nation stronger.”
