DODA, Nov 28: Deputy Inspector General of Police, DKR Range Shridhar Patil, chaired a comprehensive crime and security review meeting at the District Police Office, Doda. The meeting was attended by all supervisory officers and SHOs of the district.
During the review, SSP Doda, briefed the DIGP on the overall crime and security scenario. The DIGP emphasized the expeditious disposal of pending investigations, arrest of absconders, tracing of missing persons, and resolution of complaints and online grievances to reduce crime pendency.
He directed officers to adopt a mission-mode approach against drug trafficking, identify both backward and forward links of offenders and dismantle entire networks. Regarding theft and burglary cases, officers were instructed to ensure timely investigations, effective recovery of stolen property, and initiation of property attachment proceedings under UAPA and NDPS.
Special drives were ordered to curb traffic violations, ensure that violators are brought to justice. He stressed on maintaining proactive approach in dealing law and order.
The DIGP also emphasised on enhancing effectiveness in monitoring of history-sheeters, OGWs, and troublemakers. He reviewed overall operational preparedness and efforts for dismantling terror ecosystem in the district.
