Jammu, Oct 29: A three days workshop on “Development of E-Content for Interactive Learning at the Elementary Level” was organized by the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), at GHSS (B) Nowabad Jammu. The workshop aimed to equip elementary teachers with the knowledge and skills to design engaging and interactive digital learning materials that enhance classroom teaching.
The inaugural session was presided over by Principal DIET Jammu, R. G. Dogra and HOD DIET Jammu, Jameel Ahmed. Principal DIET Jammu in his inaugural address emphasized the importance of integrating technology into pedagogy to make learning more joyful, student-centered, and effective. He appreciated the efforts of the Educational Technology (ET) Wing , comprising of Monika Kalsotra (HOD, ET Wing), Sonia Chowdhary (Sr. Lecturer), Ms. Charanjeet Kour, Amit Gupta, and Amrit Pal Singh, Lecturers for continuously promoting digital literacy among teachers.
During the workshop participants were trained in various aspects of e-content development, including multimedia integration, use of open-source tools, and designing interactive e content for classroom use.
R. G. Dogra, Principal DIET Jammu, felicitated the Resource Persons and participants with certificates, acknowledging their active participation and contribution. He lauded the ET Wing team for their dedication in strengthening the digital capabilities of teachers and fostering innovation in the teaching-learning process.
