Dialogue only way to see peace in Kashmir: Vakil

SRINAGAR, Apr 28: Former minister Abdul  Gani Vakil  today voiced his serious concern over the unprecedented delay in the dialogue caused by Modi led BJP Government at the Centre and said that dialogue is the only route to peace in Kashmir.
Addressing his workers convention at Rafiabad in Baramulla today, Valik while reacting on reports about the incumbent Central Government’s intents of unwillingness on taking initiatives for political outreach in Jammu and Kashmir said sending additional deployments of Army and paramilitaries to further the cause of establishing peace through arm twisting methods is a totally unwise decision which would further complicate the already complicated situation in Kashmir.
Calling upon the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to personally take a call on immediate engagement with the joint separatist leadership and angered youth in Kashmir, Vakil said peace won’t come through crackdowns, mass arrests and curbs on people and as such there is no substitute to dialogue and engagement for establishing peace in Kashmir.
While addressing the workers Vakil said that the current crisis in Kashmir is the creation of National Conference and PDP, Vakil said top leaders of PDP and National Conference shed crocodile tears just to hoodwink people just for votes as they forget all promises about the political settlement of Kashmir issue immediately after their return to power. Vakil said not peace but power is the destiny of National Conference and PDP and it is for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take a call on political outreach and engagement in Kashmir.
Vakil also demanded judicial probe in Kupwara killings and sought immediate results so that faith of people in judicial system remains stable.
