JAMMU, Sept 24: Directorate of Health Services, Jammu organised diabetes detection camp in Akhnoor for the general public.
The camp was held on the directions of the Director Health Service, Dr B S Pathania and under the guidance of Chief Medical Officer, Jammu Dr Robinder Khajuria. The camp was held under National Programme for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke (NPCDCS) at all CHCs, PHCs and Health Sub Centres including Govt Offices, Schools of Block Akhnoor for all persons above the age of 40 years and pregnant women.
More than 208 persons got benefitted through the camp. Today was the last day of the camp being conducted at SDH Akhnoor where 232 subjects were tested for blood sugar under the supervision of Dr Vinod Kumar, Block Medical officer, Akhnoor.
