DHSK visits healthcare facilities for Amarnath Yatra

Srinagar, July 16: Director, Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Rather, today conducted a comprehensive visit to Pahalgam to inspect the healthcare facilities arranged for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2023.
Accompanied by the Chief Medical Officer of Anantnag, Dr M. Y Zagoo, the Block Medical Officer of Sallar, Yatra Nodal Officers, and other health department officials, Dr Rather visited the Nunwan base camp, Pahalgam Hospital, and Chandanwari Hospital.
During the visit, the Director interacted with the patients admitted to these facilities and inquired about the level of care being provided to them.
He emphasized the importance of ensuring the best possible healthcare services for the yatris and instructed the staff on duty to create a comfortable environment for everyone involved.
Furthermore, Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Rather engaged in discussions with doctors and paramedics who had been deployed from different States of the country to support the medical needs of the yatris.
The officials said that the purpose of the visit was to assess the preparedness of the healthcare facilities and ensure that the necessary arrangements were in place to cater to the health requirements of the pilgrims participating in the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2023.
