JAMMU, July 22: A transformative session titled Mind Matters, led by renowned psychologist Dr Romesh Kumar Sharma was today hosted by the Dhruv Institute.
The session focused on promoting mental well-being among students and guiding them to make the best use of their time and energy.
The session began with a warm welcome by Sudhir Anand, director of Dhruv Institute, who thanked Dr Sharma for taking time to engage with the young minds.
In his address, Dr Sharma emphasized the importance of emotional resilience and balance in today’s fast-paced academic environment.
He highlighted practical tools for mental wellness included, building social support, meditation and mindfulness, eating healthy food, maintaining a proper sleep cycle, pursuing hobbies, regular physical activity, strength-based thinking, acts of kindness, practicing gratitude, using positive affirmations and visualizing positivity.
Sharma encouraged students to incorporate these habits into their daily lives to build a healthier mindset and cope better with academic and personal challenges.
The event witnessed active participation from students and faculty, with a lively question-and-answer session at the end, where attendees shared their thoughts and sought guidance on real-life issues.
