JAMMU, Oct 5: President Dharmarth Trust, BR Kundal gave a Cheque of Rs 25,000 to the management of Gao Shala Ambphalla on behalf of the Chairman Trustee of the Trust Dr. Karan Singh during his visit to Goa Shala today. JK Dharmarth Trust has helped and nourished this Goa Shala from time to time by providing financial and other help to it.
Keeping the tradition on the President of the Dharmarth Trust Kundal also visited this Goa Shala at Amphalla today. He was accompanied by the secretary of the Trust Shashi Khajuria. During the visit they took round of the Goa Shalla and took stock of the facilities and other functions. They also interacted with the management of Goa Shala and enquired about their problems.
On this occasion Kundal while interacting with the management said looking after and taking care of cows is considered as a religious activity in Hindu religion. In fact the cow is worshipped as a mother. Almost in every State there is a’Gao Shala’ where cows are fed and taken care of, he added.
The Goa Shala at Jammu was established by Mool Raj Shastri in 1965. Today there are more than 200 cows in it and this Goa Shalla has achieved importance in Jammu.
