JAMMU, Jan 14: Dhanik Koul’s `Hausla’ presented by Ashok Pandit Productions will hit stands on January 19 -coinciding with Holocaust Day of Kashmiri Pandits. The song will be released from the Youtube Channel here.
This was started in a handout issued here, today. The song has been sung by Dhanik Koul and its music was given by Jayant Chauhan, while lyrics was given by Surya Manhas and Sahil Bhat. The Video production was made by Shotbymbh and art work was done by Vibhuti Kaul.
The handout said numerous works of art, films and documentaries have been made over the years about the horrendous events that took place in Kashmir decades ago. Thousands of people lost their lives, their loved ones, their homes and most of all they lost their dignity.
Despite the fact that the trauma these people went through can’t be merely defined in words as Dhanik through this song makes an attempt to take people on a unheard journey of a son’s visit to his homeland, where he even after visiting the heaven on earth almost after 30 years of exodus can feel the goose bumps and couldn’t find the houses that he only saw in the family photographs. He could only find broken wreckages of temples and hate symbols on the side walls. This song makes one realize that why is it that years changed; times changed; governments changed, but what really did not change is the pain and misery of that mother , who could not go back to her home even again, the sadness of that son who could never see his parental house , the loneliness of that father who lost so many near and dear ones while trying to save all he can. The song talks about not only the things that nation wants to know but also those that they need to know.
