DH Udhampur awarded 2nd position in Kayakalp

UDHAMPUR, Apr 30: A meeting of Governing Body of Rogi Kalyan Samiti of District Hospital Udhampur was held under the chairmanship of Member Legislative Assembly, Udhampur, Pawan Kumar Gupta, here today.
The MLA lauded the staff and District Hospital Management for their dedication and sincerity towards their work and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene which results that the District Hospital awarded second position in Kayakalp, an initiative for awards to Public Health Facilities in the State.
He said that the aim of such meeting is to sort out the problems being faced by hospital administration for providing better medicare facilities. He said that many initiatives have been taken to improve the infrastructure of the hospital. Functioning of different units like NCD/Geriatric Ward, District Early Intervention Center (DEIC) & Physiotherapy ward will also help to make the hospital a better place to offer treatment to the patients suffering from related diseases.
The MLA stressed upon the CEO of Municipal Council Udhampur to deploy necessary vehicle for removal of garbage and waste material generated in the hospital and directed to ensure timely purchase of additional vehicle for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the town.
Stressing for the conservation of water which is a dire need of the hour, Mr. Gupta asked the hospital management and PHE Department to chalk out a plan of rain water harvesting in the hospital. He also sanctioned a Hearse Van which would be used for shifting dead body from his Constituency Development Fund.
Various issues were discussed in the meeting especially upgradation of OPD services, Laboratory & Blood Bank, improvement of indoor complex, registration section, Eye &ENT sections, development of common area for eat points for connivance of the attendants of the patients and procurement of different consumables and equipments etc.
Superintendent DH, Dr. Narender Batyal gave a detail account of physical and financial achievements of the current fiscal.
