DGPC observing Martyrdom Day of Guru Teg Bahadur on Nov 24

JAMMU, Nov 22:  District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (DGPC) Jammu will organize a grand function to mark the Martyrdom Day of Guru Teg Bahadur in Jammu on November 24.
Sharing detail with the media-persons here today Balvinder Singh, vice president DGPC Jammu, along with Surjit Singh, general secretary, and Tejinder Singh, Member DGPC Jammu and others said that the Committee is commemorating the 350th year of the supreme martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib on November 24 and in this connection a special Samagam is being organized  at Gurdwara Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, Satwari, Jammu.
The Samagam will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. This religious event has been arranged to pay homage to the unparalleled sacrifice of Guru Teg Bahadur, who embraced martyrdom to defend religious freedom, dignity, and the human rights of the oppressed people. His legacy continues to inspire generations to uphold justice, truth, and humanity.
Singh said Samagam will feature  Gurbani Kirtan by the Hazuri Ragi Jathas of DGPC Jammu, including Bhai Sahib Bhai Davinder Singh and Bhai Tarvinder Singh , who will deliver lecture on teachings and spiritual greatness of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib.
Adding further spiritual depth to the occasion,  Manmohan Singh, a respected Parcharak from Poonch, will especially attend the Samagam and deliver enlightening lecture on the historical and contemporary significance of great Guru’s martyrdom.
DGPC Jammu has invited the entire Sangat of Jammu and surrounding areas to join this solemn and inspiring religious gathering. A Langar shall also be served to all the devotees, he added.
