Srinagar, July 29: Lt Gen PS Bhalla, Director General NCC arrived in the Summer capital here today to take stock of various NCC activities in the State. On arrival, he was received by Maj Gen NS Jamwal, Additional Director General Jammu and Kashmir and other NCC officers. He is amongst the senior most serving Generals of the Armoured Corps and has been the Director General of NCC for the past one year. The General has a special affiliation with J&K and has been very keenly overseeing various NCC activities in the State.
The General was be apprised by the Additional Director General, NCC regarding progress in various matters related to growth of NCC in the State which includes plans to raise an NCC Unit in Leh, an Air Unit in Srinagar and a Naval Unit at Samba.
During his stay in the Capital the General Officer would be visiting the Special National Integration Camp (SNIC) being organised under the aegis of NCC Directorate J&K by NCC Group HQ Srinagar besides meeting other civil and military dignitaries.
