JAMMU, Jan 6: To remind the National Conference Government about their promises made by them during the elections time, a massive rally organized by Dogra Front and Shiv Sena was held here today.
The rally was held under the leadership of Ashok Gupta, president of DF&SS.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Gupta said, “More than two months have passed but not even a single poll promise as contained in the election manifesto of NC has been implemented. Simply holding media interaction and making no announcement relating to the poll promises is fooling people.”
“The promise of providing free electricity rings hollow in the face of regular disruptions and exorbitantly priced electricity. This talk is now replaced by the promise of an uninterrupted power supply conditional to the installation of smart meters – which the common masses complain has added to their financial burdens,” he said.
Gupta further stated that the CM is still talking about the business rules stating his reasons like the smart meters have not been completely installed and there is a lot of line loss during his 2 press conferences, when the CM promised these things he didn’t stated these reasons and excuses at that point of time.
“The people are eagerly looking at the newly elected Chief Minister as he promised 12 free LPG cylinders to the people of Jammu & Kashmir. The CM should fulfill his promises so that the people can get some relief from these huge power bills and expensive cylinders,” he added.
Among others who were present during the protest included Sandhya, Shankar, Bantu, Prem, Naresh, Rampal, Vikas, Vinay, Abhishek and Narinder.
