JAMMU, Feb 10: Advisor to the Governor, Parvez Dewan today  reviewed preparations with respect to upcoming 10th and 12th class examinations being conducted by Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) in the 7 districts of Jammu Division under summer zone.
Chairing a video conference with concerned Deputy Commissioners, the Advisor urged them to ensure smooth conduct of examinations free from any malpractice.
During the meeting instructions were passed on to put in place fool proof measures to maintain security of question papers. Besides, it was decided that supervisory staff deployed earlier shall not be repeated and local randomisation of invigilation staff shall also be carried out by the respective DCs.
With regard to certain sensitive examination centres, directions were issued to the DCs to be extra vigilant in deploying invigilation staff to these centres and observers selected from different departments may also be deployed.
The Advisor also asked IGP Jammu to ensure that police presence is strengthened at such locations in addition to normal deployment.
The Advisor said that there is need to further strengthen the examination process to ensure that no complaints regarding malpractice is received from any quarter and hoped that forthcoming examinations are conducted in a most fair and transparent manner.
Commissioner Secretary, School Education, Shaleen Kabra, IGP Jammu, Danish Rana, DC Jammu, Simrandeep Singh, SSP Jammu, Uttam Chand, Chairman JKBOSE, Prof Zahoor Chatt, Secretary JKBOSE Veena Pandita, Director School Education, Jammu, Smita Sethi and other senior officers were also present in the meeting.
Meanwhile, several public deputations and scores of individuals met Parvez Dewan.
The deputationists interacted with the Advisor and projected their problem. The Advisor gave them patient hearing and directed the concerned for timely redressal of the public grievances.
Those who met the Advisor include Dogra Sadar Sabha led by its President and Ex Minister Gulchain Singh Charak who put forth their issues relating to the organisation besides discussed matters regarding heritage of Mubarakh Mandi, Jammu festival and Kala Kendra.
The Advisor assured them that every possible support will be provided to them by the Government. He also directed holding a separate review meeting on 15th of this month to discuss matters regarding Jammu festival and Mubarak Mandi.
The Jammu Newspaper Editors Association led by its President Ravinder Singh also met the Advisor and sought for redressal of their greviences.
Other deputations include Daily Wagers of Health & Medical Education Department  led by Mohammad Yaqoob and Javaid Ahmad, requesting for release of wages and regularization, All J&K Physical Training Instructors led by Muneer Ahmad, Contractual Lecturers (plus 2) led by President Arun Bakshi, AEE diploma holders of R&B Department, deputation from tehsil Sundarbani led by Sanjay Kumar, deputation from Reasi led by Haji Nizam-ud-Din, daily wagers of Commerce College Jammu headed by Mohammad Yaqoob and Abdul Majid, representatives of Sh Baba Dharam Dass Ram Jeevan Dass Trust(Srinagar) led by Mahant Subhash and MLA Doda Shakti Raj Parihar besides dozens of individual met the Advisor.
