Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma (CA) said that the massive victory of Devyani Rana is a clear endorsement of the policies of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, who has transformed governance by prioritizing the poor, the needy, and the most neglected sections of society. He said that the people of Nagrota have reposed their faith in the BJP because they have witnessed development on the ground, not on paper.
Ashok Koul said that the party’s victory in Nagrota reflects years of dedicated work by BJP cadres who have reached the last mile to address local concerns. Sham Lal Sharma congratulated Devyani Rana and assured full support for development initiatives.
Expressing her thanks, Devyani Rana said that she is humbled by the trust the people of Nagrota have placed in her. She assured every citizen of unwavering commitment, hard work, and transparent service.
Meanwhile BJP national general secretary, Tarun Chugh today said that the Omar Abdullah Government has lost the moral right to rule J&K after the defeat of the NC candidates in both the by-elections.
In the Budgam Assembly constituency, which was vacated by Omar Abdullah, it’s a huge humiliation for him since he had won the seat earlier and had promised the voters to be with them. Omar Abdullah’s insincere political narrative is completely exposed much to his humiliation, Chugh said.
Chugh said the Assembly by-election result reflected the dismal failure of the Omar Abdullah Government on all fronts. ” It is an alarming statement that a seat that Omar Abdullah had promised to nurture and develop was jettisoned by him, which, consequently, made the people lose their entire confidence in the Chief Minister and his governance”, Chugh said.
Leader of Opposition, Sunil Sharma asserted that the NC is facing an unmistakable political decline and the party’s “hollow palace is crumbling” as people across Jammu & Kashmir reject its outdated politics and empty promises.
Sharma reminded that he had earlier predicted NC’s defeat in the Budgam seat, and the public mood now clearly reflects that sentiment. “People are fed up with the hollow promises and emotional exploitation that NC has practiced for decades. The hollow palace of NC is getting demolished day by day,” he said.
He said the downfall of NC has already begun, marked first by its setback in Nagrota and now by the rising certainty of its defeat in Budgam. “Nagrota was the first signal. Budgam will further confirm that the people have moved beyond NC’s politics of convenience and want a leadership that delivers,” Sharma added.
