BHADERWAH, Nov 9: Braving the tough terrain, hundreds of pilgrims trekked several kilometres to reach the ancient Ganesh temple at Taisna village in Bhalla Tehsil of Doda district to pay obeisance to the deity.
The ancient Ganesh temple in dense coniferous forest amid tall cedar trees located at a height of 8700 ft above the sea level came to life when hundreds of Nag devotees joined Chakrabati Yatra today.
The traditional Charri (holy mace) reached hill top temple from Chakrabati and Ghuraka villages amidst chanting of hymns and singing of devotional songs by the devotees.
Ravi Kumar, a devotee from Bhadewah said all their wishes come true after visiting the temple and that’s why devotees from across the country and even from abroad visit here round the year.
Many other visiting devotees also echoed similar views.
Elaborate arrangements were put in place by the concerned authorities to ensure smooth and safe Yatra.
