JAMMU, Nov 8: Google Developer Group (GDG) Jammu organized DevFest Jammu 2025, a one-day developer celebration held at Zone by The Park, Jammu.
The event brought together over 150 attendees and 10 distinguished speakers, including industry experts, Google Developer Experts, and startup founders, to explore the latest in AI, Cloud, and emerging technologies.
The event was graced by Arun Teja Godavarthi, Community Manager, Global Developer Programs – India, Google for Developers, who served as the chief guest and keynote speaker. Arun, who leads Google’s developer relations initiatives, shared insights on fostering innovation and strengthening developer ecosystems in regions like Jammu & Kashmir.
The sessions featured top industry experts and Google Developer Experts (GDEs), including Avinash Thakur from AMD, who shared insights on engineering for speed; Bhavik Makwana, GDE, who spoke on reshaping the journey from prompt to profit; Asmita Khuspe from NCS, who explored how large language models need robust platforms; and Anubhav Singh, GDE, who demonstrated the Google ADK Voice AI Agent.
The event also showcased a lightning talk segment featuring innovators from across India, including Aman Kumar (Next Drive India), Manya Verma (Guestara), Abhisheikh Parihar (Monie Point), and Sahil Choudhary (Sigmoid Analytics), who presented ideas blending AI and entrepreneurship.
Post-lunch, participants engaged in networking sessions, exchanging ideas and experiences to build stronger community collaborations. The event was spearheaded by GDG Jammu organizers – Abhinandan Trilokia, Atul Sharma, and Mannat Sharma, supported by an energetic volunteer team comprising Daljeet Singh, Ankit, Gaurav, Pralin, Daksh, Sachin, and Prateek.
The day concluded with a ceremony, honoring all speakers and celebrating the winners of the Tech Quest Challenge, where Abhinav Singh emerged as the winner for his innovative project demonstrating creative use of AI technology. The challenge highlighted the talent and problem-solving potential of young developers from the region.
