JAMMU, Nov 18: A deputation of Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) here today met Ch Vikram Randhawa, MLA Bahu constituency and raised the issues of Trikuta Nagar.
The deputation was led by Rajinder P Kakkar, TNWS president and it comprised of Ashok Kumar Arora, Sandeep Sharma and N.K Bali and the deputation members handed over a memorandum containing their demands to the MLA.
These demands included construction of a new bore well in Ward number 54, Trikuta Nagar Colony and reconstruction of a bridge at main road from Sector 6 to 7 behind RBI quarters and another one between mini-market and main market from Sector 5 to 6.
More demands discussed by the deputation were reconstruction of under pass road from Sector 4 and 5 to a prominent Hotel in the area in by-pass extension of the colony and reconstruction of South side retaining walls on Nallah from Sector 4 side besides renovation of the Urban Health and AYUSH Centre behind main market Trikuta Nagar Colony. Still more demands included a play ground and mini indoor stadium in Trikuta Nagar Colony, one multiple cars parking complex, solar panel based street lights, blacktopping on internal lanes and their tiling and maintenance of parks in the colony by Floriculture Department.
The deputation members also raised their long pending demand regarding slashing of free hold rights fees making it Rs 1 lakh per kanal only. The MLA listen the deputation patiently and assured to resolve all the issues on merits.
