JAMMU, June 28: A deputation from the Roop Nagar JDA Housing Colony Welfare Association today called on Jammu Development Authority (JDA) Vice Chairman, Rupesh Kumar, to highlight long-pending civic and infrastructural issues faced by residents.
Led by Uttam Deep Sharma, the delegation included B K Sharma (president), M L Gupta, N L Bhatt, Naresh Kumar and Shanti Saroop Sharma. The members submitted a charter of demands, urging the JDA to expedite development works in various sectors of the colony.
Key issues raised during the meeting included the construction of a community hall or club building for public use, completion of the Green Belt Park, and development of parks in Sector-5. The delegation also demanded the opening of JDA shops in Sectors 3 and 5, repair of the shed and electrical fittings at the Sector-1 Bathing Ghat, and construction of a road in Sector-7, particularly Lane 5, connecting to Sector-6.
During the interaction, the Vice Chairman gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured that necessary steps would be taken at the earliest to address their concerns and ensure completion of the pending development works in the colony.
