JAMMU, Mar 29: Department of Commerce at Govt. SPMR College of Commerce here today under the patronage of Principal, Prof. R.S Jamwal organized a ‘Dental Camp’ in collaboration with Department of Public Health Dentistry, Indira Gandhi Govt. Dental College Jammu.
Prof. Barbara Kaul, Head, Department of Commerce welcomed Dr. Iqbal Singh, Head, Department of Public Health Dentistry and his team for conducting the oral health awareness and oral health check-up camp in the College.
The camp started with dental awareness to students and faculty regarding common dental problems, ailments, tooth decay, gum diseases and measures to prevent them.
Dr. Anu Gandral, Dental Surgeon sensitized the students and faculty regarding good and poor oral health.
She elaborated various oral hygiene instructions and also demonstrated numerous brushing and flossing techniques.
Dr. Ankolika and Dr. Sugandha talked about various ill effects of the use of tobacco products on dental health which leads to various severe diseases and they encouraged the students to refrain from using such products.
The students, faculty and employees of the College participated in oral health check up wherein doctors individually guided each and every student according to their dental problems and treatments.
