NEW DELHI, Dec 8: A demand for a strong infrastructure along the India-China border was made in the Lok Sabha today by a BJP member, who contended that roads and other facilities on the Indian side were far less.
Raising the issue during Zero Hour, Ram Swaroop Sharma, who represents Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh close to the Chinese border, said people in the area felt less secure due to the modern infrastructure on the other side.
He urged the government to provide satellite connectivity in the region to facilitate all modes of communication.
BJP member Ramdas Tadas demanded stringent action against those found guilty of killing a 9-year old boy as part of a human sacrifice ritual in Wardha area in Maharashtra last month, saying the locals were terrorised after the incident and even refused to send their children to schools.
