JAMMU, Sept 7: Delta Force celebrated its 23rd Raising Day in Northern Command.
A wreath laying ceremony was organised at Dharmkund in Ramban, on the occasion in memory of those who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. GOC, Delta Force, Maj Gen S S Tiniaker and other ranks laid wreath at war memorial in Ramban.
Raised on September 6, 1994 at Nagrota by Major General Yogeshwar Bahl, the force has been instrumental in fighting terrorism in Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar districts. Delta Force continues playing a pivotal role in assuring peace, security and development in the region through relentless counter terrorist operations and Sadbhavana endeavours by providing opportunities to the locals.
