Delhi model of governance may bring welfare of downtrodden: AAP

JAMMU, Mar 19: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) here today at a function organized by Rajesh Gupta, vice-president AAP Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency (JPPC) and presided over by Amit Kapoor, AAP president JPPC appointed Amrit Wattal as new Youth Wing president of JPPC.
Speaking on the occasion Rajesh Gupta expressed faith in the leadership of AAP national convener, Arvind Kejriwal and vowed to carry forward the dream of AAP to every nook and corner of Jammu division.
He claimed that persons of high repute with political wisdom are coming forward in large number to join AAP with hope that Delhi model of governance might be implemented in J&K also for all round welfare of downtrodden section of the society.
Amit Kapoor claimed that 25 BJP defunct MLAs betrayed the people of Jammu as none of them visited the people after winning elections.
“Today they are pretending to be well-wishers of Jammu people, whom they are using to strengthen their vote bank,” he maintained adding: “People of J&K are paying heavy price for the blunders committed by BJP regime. The time has changed now and the BJP should understand that they can no more hoodwink the people by hollow and deceptive slogans.”
Others who joined AAP were Mehak Sharma and Nafeel Iqbal while AAP leaders who spoke on the occasion were Aslam Kohli, S. Paramveer Singh, Rajni Jamwal, Surjeet Mangotra and Satish Shastri.
