NEW DELHI, Dec 4: Delhi legislative assembly today passed Jan Lokpal Bill, the pet anti-graft legislation of the party, on the last day of the winter session with two prominent amendments.
The bill was passed through voice-vote in the House.
Replying to the debate on the bill, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal warned Central Government against any possible obstruction to the bill, for which the AAP-led Government had resigned in 2013 after failing to ensure its smooth passage.
”We will approach President Pranab Mukherjea if necessary for ensuring Centre’s approval to the bill,” Mr Kejriwal said. (AGENCIES)
