Delegation of Plus 2 Lecturers calls on CS, raises key issues

JAMMU, Dec 27: A delegation of All J&K +2 Lecturers’ Forum, under the leadership of R S Salathia, Chairman of the Forum, called on Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo at Civil Secretariat Jammu.
R S Salathia, accompanied by Ghar Singh, Bal Krishan Tickoo, Rajeev Sharma, R K Uppal and Gh Nabi Malik raised the issue of delay in regularisation of Incharge lecturers.
Salathia reminded the Chief Secretary of his last meeting with them a few months ago on the same issue. The Forum leaders appealed the Chief Secretary for issuing instructions to School Education Department for immediately convening DPC meet for regularisation of Incharge lecturers in all Science subjects and Arts subjects.
The delegation also urged for release of transfer list of lecturers of Jammu division under ATD. He advocated for doing away with zonation in ATD of Lecturers as it was defeating the very purpose of Annual Transfer Drive. Salathia, instead urged for School-specific transfers.
The delegation of the Forum raised the crucial issue of grant of ACP in favour of officers of +2 cadre so that injustice to this class of officers is put to an end.
Responding to the issues raised by the delegation, Atal Dulloo assured that the issue of regularisation would be soon resolved to provide relief to the hundreds of incharge lecturers awaiting their regularisation. He sent the memorandum submitted by the Forum to Secretary SED through e-office with his recommendations for conducting DPC meet for regularisation of Incharge lecturers.
On the other issues, the Chief Secretary said that the Govt was already working on them and assured the delegation that priority would be given to the key issues that had been raised by the Forum.
