JAMMU, Jan 2: A delegation of Old Janipur Civil Society Action Committee here today under the leadership of Kulwant Singh Sambyal met JMC Commissioner, Dr. Devansh Yadav during his field visit and discussed the issues of Ward number 34, 35 and 36.
The delegation demanded infrastructure development and security measures at JDA Park in Mohalla Ram Vihar, Old Janipur.
It was also demanded that the JDA Park, Old Janipur should be handed over to JMC and flood lights along with CCTV cameras should be installed there.
Other demands raised by the delegation included repair and renovation of lanes and drains, repair of non-functional street lights, blacktopping of the roads and allocation of space for construction of two halls for senior citizens and repair-renovation of bathrooms and Nag Temple in the Park.
More demands included creation of new park at Indira Vihar Mohalla, covering of Nalla at Bread Factory road in Mohalla Pandoka Colony, repair-renovation of community hall at Mohalla Shant Nagar, construction of separate bathrooms for ladies and gents at Chowk of High Court Road and proper maintenance of Old Janipur JDA Park which is in dilapidated condition.
A handout stated that the JMC Commissioner passed directions on the spot to the subordinate officers to immediately sort out all the issues shortly.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion were Vidya Bhushan, R.L Bhat, Harnam Singh, Shamsher Singh, Sardari Lal, Tara Chand, Rajat Sambyal, Butti Ram, Sat Pal, J.S Baloria, Sansar Chand, Ash Jamwal, Rakesh Singh, Vijay Kumar, P.L Sharma, Om Parkash, Jagdish Singh, Charan Dass, Sonu, Dwarka Sharma, Ajit Singh, Rinku, Bittu, Naveen Kumar, R.K Gupta, Lovely Sharma and others.
