Degree College for Dachan demanded

JAMMU, June 24: Highlighting the plight of the student community of Dachan who lack the facilities of higher education and have to travel a long distance up to Kishtwar for the same, Member Civil Society Kishtwar, Shamsher Singh Bhandari demanded opening of  a Degree College at Dachan.
In this regard he made appeal to Education Minister Mohammed Altaf Bukhari, MoS Education, Priya Sethi and Minister of State with independent charge of Transport, Sunil Sharma who is also MLA Kishtwar and sought their immediate intervention in the matter.
He said the majority of students have to discontinue their studies as they lack facilities of higher education in this vast area and could not travel a long distance up to Kishtwar for the same especially the girl students.
Bhandari also demanded posting of Dermatologist in DH Kishtwar and filling up of other vacant posts there. He while highlighting other problems demanded construction of Parking slot from Kuleed Chowk to Malipeth for avoiding frequent traffic jams and street lighting from Malpeth to Hasti More so that the people do not face problems in walking in the area during night hours.
