JAMMU, May 3: Panun Kashmir (PK) today demanded that in the wake of recent terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam the Government of India (GoI) should declare Pakistan a terrorist state immediately.

“Let GoI give up its reluctance and recognise that a genocide in Kashmir has been committed and this is still going on”, PK Chairman, Dr Ajay Chrungoo told reporters here, today.
He said “GoI should forthwith recognise that a genocide was inflicted on Hindus of Kashmir. Let it state unambiguously that it is responding to a genocidal war and not merely a terrorist situation,”.
He urged the GoI to enact a law in the Parliament to prevent and punish the crime of genocide for which PK had already submitted a draft of a Bill to Central Government. “Let GoI declare a commitment to reorganise Jammu and Kashmir further”.
Dr Chrungoo said, to defeat the PAN Islamic war with Pakistan as its epicentre GoI has to divide the present Kashmir to create a Union Territory of Panun Kashmir for permanent rehabilitation of Hindus of Kashmir who have been subjected to genocide and separate Jammu province as a separate State.
Dr Chrungoo also extended its full support to GoI on behalf of his organization and KP community in its all operations against Pakistan to punish and deter it from aiding and abetting terrorism on the soil of India.
Among others who addressed the conference included Raj Nath Raina, P L Koul Budgami, P N Raina, Sunil Bhat and Surinder Bhan.
He said Pahalgam massacre of Hindus has once again brought out clearly the ideological nature of the terrorist separatism in Jammu and Kashmir.
It has also brought out clearly that it didn’t happen due to some flaw in the security but due to serious flaws in the security doctrine followed by GoI.
Unless the flaws in security doctrine are corrected the nation will have to suffer many more such tragedies, he added.
Dr Chrungoo said the gruesome act has declared without any inhibition that this terrorism is part of a war form which the terrorists call Jihad. Its objective is destruction and disintegration of Hindu demography in Jammu and Kashmir, he added.
Inability to recognise this reality will constitute a national failure and will obstruct and distort a comprehensive and effective response to this Jihadi Terrorism, he warned.
