MENDHAR, July 17: Mystery shrouds the death of a youth whose semi-naked body was recovered from forest area near Harni under Gursai Police Station last evening.
The deceased was today identified as 30-year-old, Mohd Nasir, son of Mohd Said, resident of Jabra village in Gursai. The parents of the deceased told police that he was missing from home for the last 4-5 days. They also claimed that the youth was not mentally sound and used to undergo fits sometimes.
The body wore some injury marks and was spotted by a villager lying near a pond. He informed police and a police party from Gursai Police Station led by ASI Sunil Kalsi shifted to Mendhar hospital for postmortem. It was later handed over to the family for last rites. The police has registered a case under Section 174 CrPC in this connection.
