UDHAMPUR, Nov 30: The police recovered the dead body of a villager near Birma Bridge, in Udhampur under mysterious circumstances here today.
A police spokesman said that a local of the area noticed the body lying near the bridge and informed other residents of the locality. They later informed police.
The deceased was later identified as Satpal (54), son of Lt Kirpa Ram, resident of Battal Ballian. The police party reached the spot and shifted the body to District Hospital Udhampur for postmortem.
The police after completion of the formalities, handed over the body to family members. A case has been registered in this connection.
